WPC (Qi) International Standard Status and Introduction to Certification Testing Procedures
Are you interested in this emerging hot topic – wireless charging devices?
In this webinar, we will be presenting the current market trends and technological status of wireless charging devices both domestically and internationally, as well as the certification test procedures for obtaining Qi international standard certification. Specifically, we will cover certification test standards and case analysis, along with an overview of Korean Tektronix's wireless power transmission solutions.
The wireless charging device market is rapidly expanding globally, and in line with this expansion of wireless charging-related technology and market, WPC standards are becoming increasingly important in the marketplace.
As of January 2019, WPC is an international private standards organization for magnetic induction-based wireless power transmission with participation from approximately 650 companies domestically and internationally, including Samsung Electronics, Apple, LG Electronics, and Philips. Currently, it classifies and presents standards for three power levels.

Wireless charging is classified into three international standards according to the power used: low power, medium power, and high power. Currently, international standard certification for wireless charging devices can be obtained through WPC's certification procedure to receive the Qi certification mark.
To obtain WPC standard certification, one must pass both standards compliance testing and interoperability testing. The currently distributed international standard compliance certification test procedure is v1.2.4, and it consists of BPP at the 5W level and EPP at the 5W~15W level.
Through this webinar, you will be able to learn about detailed WPC (Qi) international standard certification test procedures explained by a senior researcher who actually works at the Wireless Power Transmission Technology Center.
Webinar Key Topics
