Noise Reduction Measures for Electronic Circuit Development Part 3 – Introduction to Noise Generation Phenomena and Reduction Measures
In this lecture, following the previous sessions that covered general information and components regarding "noise reduction measures for circuit/PCB design," we will discuss noise generation phenomena and noise reduction countermeasure technologies.
As an introductory level, we will address the necessity of noise reduction, define noise from a design perspective, and foster a fundamental understanding of noise generation phenomena based on physical principles to provide direction for circuit design.
Additionally, by explaining basic terminology required to understand noise reduction, we aim to enhance comprehension among developers.

Noise mitigation technology is one of the most challenging fields for circuit designers.
The reason is that electrons are not visible to the eye, and it is difficult to understand how electromagnetic wave generation occurs and what effects it produces.
However, in reality, electromagnetic waves do not exist only in free space but are also present on transmission lines. Electromagnetic waves must be generated for actual signals to be transmitted and for proper operation.
When unnecessary electromagnetic waves are generated, they cause numerous problems.
Therefore, gaining a physical understanding of these aspects holds significant meaning as the first step in implementing noise reduction measures.
This course, as the introductory part of noise reduction, will enable understanding of noise reduction countermeasure technologies to be presented subsequently and will significantly enhance comprehension for practical application.
