# Understanding and Countermeasures for Noise Phenomena on Power Supply Lines
Noise Phenomena and Countermeasures on Power Distribution Lines
In this seminar, we will explain in two parts how to distinguish between signal lines and power distribution lines during circuit design, and address the noise phenomena and countermeasures that occur on each line.
In this second session, we will examine noise phenomena on power distribution lines and their corresponding countermeasures.

Noise analysis should not involve arbitrary debugging at any location; rather, it requires observing the phenomenon and performing stepwise analysis according to its characteristics. Since the debugging points differ depending on which phenomenon appears, identifying key points quickly is essential to reduce costs and time.
The primary issues on power distribution lines are voltage drop and ripple characteristics on the power supply or ground, which are major noise phenomena. Due to the wiring characteristics of power distribution lines, the wiring tends to be long, and as the wiring length increases, voltage drop and ripple phenomena occur.

Ground formation affects the return path of current, which degrades into noise, and coupled with EMI phenomena, multiple phenomena become organically interconnected, creating difficulties in debugging.
In this seminar, we will provide direction to understand the noise phenomena on power distribution lines as described above and to comprehend and practically apply the corresponding countermeasures.
