OPC UA-TSN Technology Update and Case Study Presentation
In the industrial automation sector recently, the term OPC-UA is frequently heard.
OPC-UA is a communication protocol that has garnered considerable attention as smart factories and Industry 4.0 have begun to materialize in earnest.

It is a vendor-independent communication protocol for industrial automation applications, and this protocol is flexible and completely independent.
It is regarded as an ideal communication protocol for the implementation of Industry 4.0.
However, as data processing requirements in smart factories continue to increase, OPC-UA alone cannot cover all communications in the field. The TSN standard features data transmission speeds at least 10 times faster than existing industrial Ethernet protocols, making it possible to maximize the advantages of OPC-UA. This involves running the OPC-UA communication protocol on the physical layer of TSN.
