Practical Image Processing Using Raspberry Pi Camera

The Raspberry Pi offers considerably high-quality camera video and features 4 CPU cores, enabling parallel processing of image analysis through threading.
To sufficiently utilize these hardware resources for image analysis and recognition, there are algorithms that must be executed as preprocessing steps.
The most critical components are edge and corner detection, as well as object detection.

Human visual perception is known to respond most rapidly to edges, contours, corners, and object motion when recognizing objects, with these elements being processed first.
