Understanding MOSFET Characteristics for Automotive Power Design Engineers and Introduction to the Reliability of Infineon MOSFETs
In this webinar, we will explain the characteristics of MOSFETs, how they are applied in design, and the reliability of automotive MOSFETs.
First, to help automotive power design engineers understand MOSFETs, we will explain the characteristics of MOSFETs.
Power MOSFETs can be said to be the most widely used power semiconductor devices in the electrical and electronics fields today. MOSFET datasheets provide various electrical and physical characteristics to assist designers. If these characteristics are not well understood, problems such as performance degradation, increased costs due to excessive design, or design errors may occur.
In this webinar, we will explain MOSFET characteristics focusing on important parameters in the MOSFET datasheet and describe how they are applied in design.
Second, this concerns the reliability of automotive MOSFETs.
Most automotive OEMs today require AEC-Q101 for quality assurance of discrete devices. The deployment of power semiconductors in vehicles is steadily increasing, and this trend is expected to continue in the future.
Therefore, the proportion and importance of power semiconductors in automotive quality are growing. Infineon is making significant efforts to provide highly reliable products that exceed AEC-Q101 requirements, and we will briefly explain this.
