Infineon XENSIV™ 60GHz Radar Sensor Solution for Smart Building and Smart Home Implementation

Compared to other sensors, radar minimizes the impact of dark indoor and outdoor environments, short line-of-sight conditions, and harsh outdoor temperature and humidity environments.

Additionally, unlike optical, vision, infrared, and ultrasonic systems, radar can deliver optimized performance tailored to system requirements without external exposure or opening windows, emerging as a key solution for implementing smart buildings and smart homes.

This webinar introduces radar solutions for industrial, consumer, and IoT applications using Infineon's 60GHz radar MMIC.

We present the ultra-compact XENSIV™ 60GHz radar MMIC series optimized for application design using the 60GHz frequency band among Infineon's XENSIV™ sensor solutions, as well as reference design kits that include Infineon's microcontrollers.

Applications available using the reference design kit include smart people-counting solutions that can effectively suppress pandemic spread, simple motion detection sensors that replace PIR sensors, and various applications that detect object distance, angle, velocity, and presence.
