Essential Smart Kitchen Item, Infineon's Power Switch Solution for Induction Heating (IH)

Electric ranges are rapidly establishing themselves as essential kitchen appliances replacing gas ranges.

Electric ranges are gaining significant popularity not only because they are highly safe as they do not generate carbon monoxide or fine dust during operation, but also because they boast excellent thermal efficiency, which can reduce cooking time.

Recently, as preferences for premium products have become more pronounced and induction technology has advanced, demand for induction ranges in particular is surging.

In this webinar, we will explore the fundamentals and development trends of induction heating (IH, Induction Heating), and introduce Infineon's IH solutions.

Using a half-bridge evaluation board, we will examine the functions and key features of Infineon's gate driver based on SOI (silicon-on-insulator) technology and reverse-conducting IGBT.

We will demonstrate how the actual system operates and compare the characteristics when using IGBT and SiC MOSFET.
