2022 e4ds Automotive Tech Concert - Standardization Trends of Precision Road Maps for Autonomous Driving

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced a 'Mobility Innovation Roadmap,' stating that it will progressively expand the construction of high-precision road maps targeting major national roads and urban areas by 2030, and will also establish a real-time update system.
By 2030, construction will proceed in stages starting with roads where autonomous driving priority operation is anticipated, covering major national roads and urban areas nationwide, and will simultaneously pursue the construction of three-dimensional high-precision stereoscopic maps of facilities such as tunnels and bridges for digital twin implementation.
Additionally, the ministry has set the goal of establishing a system that updates map data in real time at the point of road change detection by utilizing personal vehicle sensors, road registers, and other data sources.
At this Automotive Tech Concert, we have prepared a session to examine high-precision road maps, one of the fundamental infrastructures for autonomous driving, through a high-precision road map webinar series.
The session will provide an opportunity to learn about high-precision map standardization issues and to share domestic companies' high-precision map technologies and applications. We look forward to your participation.
