FlightSense ToF Introduction and VL53L7CX Multi-Zone Distance Measurement Sensor EVK Usage Guide

The VL53L7CX sensor provides up to 64 detection zones to detect multiple targets and distance measurement of up to 350 centimeters per zone, as well as a wide quadrilateral field of view at 90° diagonal.

Since the VL53L7CX enables gesture recognition and automatic detection of human presence, when applied to wake-up functions in multi-user equipment such as consumer products and home appliances in addition to self-service payment terminals, it significantly reduces power consumption while implementing safe touch-free operation.

Equipped with ST's validated histogram processing technology, this sensor greatly reduces the impact of crosstalk from cover glass, enabling easy integration behind various types of front panels without visibility. The new and innovative Motion-Indicator detects whether a target is moving.
