FlightSense VL53L8CX Introduction

The VL53L8CX sensor provides up to 64 sensing zones for detecting multiple targets and distance measurements of up to 400 centimeters per zone, as well as a wide rectangular field of view at a 65° diagonal angle.

Since the VL53L8CX enables gesture recognition and automatic detection of human presence, applying it to wake-up functions in equipment used by multiple people, such as consumer products and home appliances in addition to self-service payment terminals, achieves safe touchless operation while significantly reducing power consumption.

Equipped with ST's proven histogram processing technology, this sensor greatly reduces the impact of crosstalk from cover glass, allowing easy seamless integration behind various types of front panels. Through an innovative new Motion-Indicator, it detects whether a target is moving.
