The VD6283 (1.83 x 1.0 x 0.55mm) is the third generation of ST's ambient light sensor.
The VD6283 can be used for color temperature (CCT) and illuminance (Lux) detection.
With its patented architecture and high-performance photodiode design, the VD6283 can extract the flicker frequency of light and be utilized to enhance camera experience.
Light measurement is fast and accurate, and it supports illuminance sensing and light frequency extraction functionality for flicker correction support.

It can primarily be used in mobile devices such as smartphones and smartwatches to support True Tone color sensing for display adjustment and camera white balance color control.
