Multi-Camera Based High-Speed Video SoC Platform Technology

2012.10.16 10:30~12:00 민경원 책임연구원 / keti
The adoption rate of sensors has been increasing rapidly due to the recent sharp acceleration of vehicle electrification. In particular, following global demands to strengthen vehicle safety functions, development of collision avoidance intelligent sensors and systems for accident prevention in vehicles is progressing at a rapid pace. With the increasing number of cameras mounted in vehicles for uses such as black boxes and around-view systems, the importance of camera-based image recognition technology is showing a continuously increasing trend. Through this technical seminar, we will explain the multi-camera-based high-speed image recognition SoC platform, which is an SoC-based embedded high-speed vision recognition processing platform jointly developed by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute and the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, that detects, tracks, and alerts target objects (e.g., vehicles, pedestrians) in real-time from multi-channel simultaneous video inputs, and we will examine development trends in systems for operating various automotive semiconductors and image-based applications. Furthermore, another objective is to identify companies that apply this technology in appropriate fields and expand into larger business opportunities. We hope you will gain valuable information from this seminar.
