VL53L8CX Multi-Zone Distance Measurement Sensor and EVK Usage Webinar

The VL53L8CX sensor provides up to 64 (8x8) sensing zones for detecting multiple targets and measures distances up to 400 centimeters for each zone, along with a wide rectangular field of view at 65° diagonal.

Since the VL53L8CX enables gesture recognition and automatic detection of human presence, applying it to wake-up functions in equipment used by multiple people, such as self-service payment terminals, consumer products, and home appliances, significantly reduces power consumption while implementing safe touch-free operation.

Equipped with ST's proven histogram processing technology, this sensor greatly reduces the effects of crosstalk from cover glass, allowing easy integration behind various types of front panels invisibly. Through a new and innovative Motion-Indicator, it detects whether a target is moving.
