Infineon Solutions for Optimized Battery Management Systems and Enhanced EV Battery Performance
Automotive battery management systems revolutionize driving experience and energy efficiency by monitoring, protecting, and optimizing electric vehicle (EV) battery performance.
Infineon provides cell balancing and monitoring solutions as well as high-sensitivity pressure sensor ICs specialized for high-voltage automotive batteries. The TLE9012/8DQx (monitoring and balancing IC), specifically designed for lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery packs used in electric vehicles (EVs), performs four key functions: cell voltage measurement, temperature measurement, cell balancing, and isolated communication with the main battery controller.
The XENSIV™ KP46x (pressure sensor IC) with SPI interface converts physical pressure into digital output and features an integrated temperature sensor and power-down mode to reduce power consumption. Due to these high accuracy and reliability characteristics, it is ideal for battery monitoring.
