Following the COVID-19 pandemic, digital transformation utilizing emerging technologies such as IIoT-based digital twins, intelligent robots, big data, and AI is being implemented across industries to overcome difficulties in industrial sites and meet the growing demand for non-contact services.

This conference presents methods for constructing smart factories based on IIoT-based digital twin and robotic technologies.

Digital twin is a virtual model of physical objects or systems in the real world, and by applying data collected through IIoT to digital twins, optimal operation and maintenance policies can be established.

Robots are gaining attention as a future strategic industry, and their application is expanding across all manufacturing and service sectors. Robots automate simple repetitive tasks at production sites and prevent safety accidents, providing benefits such as supply chain improvement, risk reduction, and cost savings. In particular, intelligent robots in the future will be able to collect and monitor robot status data through IIoT.
