Smart factories have numerous IoT devices continuously collecting data on manufacturing processes connected to them, generating large volumes of data on an ongoing basis. The collected data is analyzed and utilized for process optimization, ultimately serving as an important factor for improving productivity and quality in smart factories.

To efficiently manage data, enterprises are adopting cloud infrastructure to leverage various IT resources such as servers, storage, and AI on an on-demand basis.

Recently, due to cloud security threats and costs, the adoption of private cloud is increasing to simultaneously enjoy the advantages of public cloud and on-premises environments. Through private AI in a private environment, enterprises can secure competitiveness by meeting the benefits of AI, data privacy, and performance within predictable costs.

Cloud providers have reached the point of providing platforms that integrate and manage all functions in hybrid infrastructure combining these various forms of environments.

Hybrid cloud ensures interconnectivity across different environments, and enterprises can gain the advantages of edge computing through hybrid cloud. For example, rather than continuously sending data generated from IoT sensors to a central server, processing it first on a computing server located near the sensor enables more real-time and stable data management.

Meanwhile, as cyber security threats become more sophisticated, the adoption of solutions protecting applications and APIs, such as zero trust security, has emerged as an important issue.

This conference will examine trends in cloud infrastructure construction for manufacturing digital transformation, and explore manufacturing field data analysis and management methods as well as security strategies through each company's solutions.
