Low-Power Motor Solutions for Enhanced Vehicle Convenience and Safety, and Their Application to Body Applications
Currently, approximately 50 to over 100 motors per vehicle are being used. Motors are not only utilized for vehicle propulsion, but are also applied across various areas including vehicle body and chassis applications to enhance driver convenience and safety.
With the recent strengthening of global environmental regulations, reducing carbon emissions from vehicles has become increasingly important. To achieve this, either engine efficiency must be increased or a transition to electric vehicles is necessary, resulting in growing motor demand.
To improve engine efficiency, an auxiliary electric motor is required for vehicle starters, and motors such as cooling system fans used in small engines for vehicle weight reduction are needed. Additionally, with the transition to electric vehicles, motors are used in thermal management systems that are critical for improving battery efficiency, specifically in valves that determine heat flow paths and cooling fans. This trend of increasing motor demand is expected to continue or expand further in the future.
Infineon is providing various motor solutions in line with these trends. In this webinar, we will first examine these trends in detail and introduce the direction of future trends. Subsequently, we will explain the motor drive system and its configuration, and in particular, we will provide detailed information on Infineon's low-power motor solutions applicable to vehicle body applications such as DC/BLDC motors.
We aim to provide guidance on Infineon product selection and introduce information that can be helpful in motor development for those who are interested in or planning to develop low-power motors for vehicles. We cordially invite interested parties to attend.
