ST Multi-Zone Distance Measurement Sensor and User Detection Usage Guide
The VL53L7CX sensor provides up to 64 sensing zones for detecting multiple targets and distance measurement up to 350 centimeters for each zone, as well as a wide rectangular field of view at a 90° diagonal.
Since the VL53L7CX can be applied to gesture recognition and human presence detection functions, it can be implemented in wake-up functionality for equipment used by multiple users, such as consumer products and home appliances in addition to self-service payment terminals, significantly reducing power consumption while enabling safe touch-free operation. Through an innovative Motion-Indicator, target movement can be detected.
