Microcontroller Basics

Microcontrollers (MCUs) are core electronic components for controlling electronic devices and are widely embedded in various products.

However, they are also difficult components to handle for engineers without practical experience.

Rohm is developing ultra-low power consumption, high-performance microcontrollers based on proprietary low-power technology accumulated over many years.

In addition, Rohm provides a lineup of microcontrollers optimized for specific application fields, including power control microcontrollers (LogiCoA™ MCUs), microcontrollers equipped with Arm® Cortex® processors, and edge computing AI microcontrollers (Solist-AI™ MCUs).

In this seminar, together with technical FAE from Korea Ryosan, Rohm's microcontroller specialist distributor, we will explore the merits of using microcontrollers, the composition of microcontrollers, and their basic functions.

We will also demonstrate hardware design and software design required to control external devices with microcontrollers, using LED blinking control as an example, and explain it in an easy-to-understand manner through demos using actual development tools.
