Six zones, including industrial metaverse, design, and accelerator, have been completed.
Siemens Korea presented its latest smart manufacturing technologies and industrial trends through the Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition 2024.
Siemens Digital Industries (DI) Korea participated in the '2024 Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition' held for three days from the 27th and introduced the integrated technology of operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT).
At this exhibition, Siemens has organized six zones under the theme of “Accelerating Innovation for Industrial Production”: the Industrial Metaverse Zone for Digital Enterprise, the Design Zone, the Realize Zone, the Optimize Zone, the Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Zone, and the Xcelerator Zone.
Siemens said, “Based on big data, we are introducing various technologies that design, implement, and optimize production lines in an efficient and flexible manner, and as a leader in decarbonization, we are presenting direct solutions for sustainability and energy efficiency.”
The Industrial Metaverse Zone for Digital Enterprise showcased virtual factory solutions for battery manufacturing processes and various industries, as well as solutions for leveraging ESG and sustainability. The Design Zone introduced a new strategy for adaptive production processes that provides sophisticated simulations from the design stage to meet increasingly complex market demands.
Additionally, the Realize Zone presented network technologies that integrate IT and OT, which are key elements in implementing smart factories, and solutions that fuse virtual and real worlds. The Optimize Zone showcased Siemens' solutions that realize customized manufacturing and maximize productivity based on various data from production sites.
The Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Zone showcased solutions for decarbonization and sustainable management across the supply chain, operations, and use phases, while the Siemens Accelerator Zone highlighted Siemens' open digital business platform.
Tino Hildebrand, Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Industries at Siemens Korea, said, “Through this Smart Factory & Automation Industry Expo 2024, we showcased the latest smart manufacturing technologies and industrial trends to support domestic customers who are currently facing various challenges.” He added, “Siemens will continue to accelerate the digital transformation of the domestic manufacturing industry and help our customers realize their innovations.”
Baek Gwang-hee, Managing Director of the Machine Tools Division of the Digital Industries Division of Siemens Korea, added, “Siemens is continuously providing powerful digital solutions to help our customers proactively respond to the changing industrial environment.” He added, “As part of these efforts, we will present ways to realize sustainability in production and manufacturing at SIMTOS 2024, which will be held at KINTEX from April 1st, so please show us lots of interest.”
