Easily solve modern scientific theories and philosophical questions

An introductory book on the philosophy of science that easily explains modern scientific theories and philosophical questions has been published, and it is expected to be an excellent guide for readers interested in the philosophy of science.
UNIST Professor Seungbae Park has published 'Reflections upon Science', an introductory book on the philosophy of science that easily explains modern scientific theories and philosophical questions.
This book is based on Professor Park's teaching experience at the University of Arizona and UNIST in the United States, and is centered around major issues in the philosophy of science that he addressed through discussions with students.
Professor Park's class, unlike spoon-fed education, actively exchanges opinions with students through discussion, and explores various philosophical questions such as confirmation of scientific hypotheses, conditions for scientific explanation and prediction, and the difference between science and religion.
This book explains biology, physics, and philosophy of mathematics, as well as the strange phenomena of quantum mechanics such as superposition, measurement, and quantum entanglement, in an easy-to-understand way that even high school students can understand.
'Reflections upon Science' deals with the theories of prominent scholars such as Popper, Kuhn, Hampel, Bohr, and Einstein, and Professor Park presents criticisms and alternatives to their views.
He believes that the most effective way to develop students' critical thinking is through demonstration. I believe in teaching methods.
UNIST is the only university in Korea where all lectures are conducted in English, and Professor Park's book was also compiled in English, but it was organized so that general readers can easily read it.
This book can be used as a textbook in science philosophy courses at gifted schools as well as universities.
Since being hired at UNIST in 2009, Professor Seungbae Park has published more than 80 SCI-level papers, and in 2022, he published a specialized book on the philosophy of science, 'Embracing Scientific Realism', from 'Springer', one of the world's top three academic publishers. This is the first case in which a Korean philosophy of science book has been published by one of the world's top three publishers.
