Awarded 'Best Companies to Work for Millennials 2023-2024'

Applied Materials Korea (CEO Kwang-sun Park), a global leader in materials engineering solutions, has proven its excellent corporate culture by being officially certified as a great place to work.

Applied Materials announced on the 16th that it had been selected as the '2023-2024 Best Company to Work for Millennials' by the Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW), a global trust management evaluation organization.

The evaluation of good companies to work for conducted by GPTW is based on the international standard model Trust Management Index, which consists of five categories: △Trust △Respect △Fairness △Pride △Comradeship.

In this evaluation, Applied Materials Korea was selected as the 'Best Company to Work for Millennials 2023-2024' for meeting the expectations of the millennial generation (ages 19 to 34).

Applied received the '2023 Korea Great Workplace Certification' from GPTW last September.

Park Kwang-sun, CEO of Applied Materials Korea, said, “Applied Materials has a vision of creating a better future through innovation, and members with diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences work together to solve problems. “We are creating a culture of problem-solving and collaboration,” he said, adding, “Applied will continue to work to create an inclusive culture where all employees feel a sense of belonging and can grow by demonstrating their best capabilities.”

Applied Materials Korea, which employs approximately 2,000 people in 12 business sites nationwide, including Bundang, Hwaseong, Pyeongtaek, Icheon, and Cheonan, has hired hundreds of domestic talents over the past few years.

In 2020, 2022, and 2023, it was selected as the 'Top Job Creation Company in Korea' by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and won the 'Comprehensive ESG Award' at the '2023 K-ESG Management Awards' sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Fair Trade Commission.

Applied Korea operates various systems to balance work and life, such as a flexible work schedule, early leave system, and professional counseling support for employees and their families. It is working to strengthen employee capabilities by conducting joint talent development programs through collaboration with customers and semiconductor-related organizations, and introducing specialized job competency development programs in conjunction with the U.S. headquarters.
