SK Hynix unveiled its various memory products and technologies at a global memory semiconductor event, saying that memory solutions that combine DRAM and NAND, rather than just individual products, are becoming increasingly important in the AI era.

SK Hynix announced on the 1st that it will participate in 'FMS 2024', a global memory semiconductor event to be held in Santa Clara, California from the 6th to the 8th (US time), to showcase the latest AI memory technology and products and present a future vision for this field.

Until last year, FMS was the world's largest NAND flash event with the participation of mainly NAND companies, but as the AI era began in earnest, the organizers expanded the scope to all areas of memory and storage, including DRAM.

Accordingly, the event name was rebranded from 'Flash Memory Summit' to 'Future Memory and Storage'.

SK Hynix said, “In line with the expansion of the FMS area, we have prepared a lot this year, including not only exhibiting products but also announcing the company’s vision through a keynote speech,” and emphasized, “We will actively utilize this event as an opportunity to inform the industry of our competitiveness in leading the future of AI memory solutions.”

The company FM last yearS has been working hard to communicate globally through this event, including unveiling the world's highest 321-layer NAND for the first time.

On the first day of the event, the 6th, SK hynix Vice President Kwon Eon-oh (HBM PI) and Vice President Kim Cheon-seong (WW SSD PMO) will give keynote speeches on the topic of ‘AI Memory & Storage Solution Leadership and Vision for AI Era.’ They will introduce SK hynix’s DRAM and NAND product portfolio optimized for AI implementation and AI memory solutions. Vice President Kwon will present on DRAM, and Vice President Kim will present on NAND.

In line with the presentation theme, the company will showcase its next-generation AI memory products at the event, including the 12-layer HBM3E, which is scheduled for mass production in the third quarter, and the 321-layer NAND sample, which is being prepared for mass production in the first half of next year.

In addition, SK Hynix plans to display its customers’ system products equipped with its main products and emphasize its close partnership with big tech customers.

The company also decided to participate as a co-sponsor this year in the 'FMS Super Women Conference' held to promote female leaders who are making a mark in the memory industry. Accordingly, at the conference held on the afternoon of the 7th, Vice President Oh Hae-soon (Advanced PI), the company's first female researcher, will give a presentation on the topic of 'Understanding SK Hynix's Future Technological Innovation and Diversity.'
