SK Hynix announced on the 5th that it had carried out organizational restructuring and executive personnel changes in 2025.
SK Hynix introduced a management system centered on the 'C-Level' to enable quick decision-making by assigning responsibility and authority to each core function.
Accordingly, the business division was organized into five organizations: AI Infra (CMO, Chief Marketing Officer), Future Technology Research Center (CTO, Chief Technology Officer), Development Headquarters (CDO, Chief Development Officer), Mass Production Headquarters (CPO, Chief Production Officer), and Corporate Center.
We integrated related functions by sector to enable ‘One Team’ decision-making. The intention is to respond more nimbly to changes in the market and technology by having key C-Level executives, centered around CEO Kwak No-jeong, lead key decision-making together.
In particular, we have decided to maximize company-wide synergy for the development of future products such as next-generation AI memory by establishing a ‘Development General Manager’ that will bring together the development capabilities of all memory products, including DRAM, NAND, and solutions.
In this position, NS Committee Director Ahn Hyun was promoted to president. President Ahn has held key positions in the Future Technology Research Institute, management strategy, and solution development, and was elected as an inside director at this year’s general shareholders’ meeting, where he has participated in major decisions related to the company’s technology and strategy.
In addition, we established a ‘mass production headquarters’ to oversee the mass production of memory pre-processes and post-processes, maximizing synergy between processes and leading the way to advance production technology for fabs to be built domestically and internationally, including the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, from an integrated perspective.
In addition, a bold generational change was carried out by selecting 33 new executives centered on new talents. About 70% of the personnel were appointed in technical fields such as next-generation semiconductor development, and it is reported that many were hired from organizations that achieved results in strengthening the competitiveness of major products such as HBM and DRAM.
SK Hynix emphasized, “We will not rest on our laurels from this year, which we have marked as the first year of the Renaissance, but will focus on building a ‘strong One Team’ system to continue to lead future technologies and markets, such as next-generation AI semiconductors.”
