A 5G smartphone that adds quantum cryptography security to AI functions but is priced the same as before is ready for full-scale sales.

SK Telecom (CEO Yoo Young-sang) announced that it will begin taking pre-orders for the 'Galaxy Quantum 5', a quantum cryptography 5G smartphone with AI functions, on the 23rd. The opening of accounts and official launch for pre-order customers will be on the 28th.

The 'Galaxy Quantum 5' has significantly enhanced terminal competitiveness with AI functions beyond existing quantum cryptography security and a larger display compared to its predecessor, but it has satisfied the expectations of consumers who value cost-effectiveness with its factory price of 618,200 won (VAT included), the same as its predecessor.

The newly released 'Galaxy Quantum 5' has introduced the 'Circle to Search' function, which is known to be the most used AI function. Through this, customers can easily check search results with just a simple gesture of drawing a circle on the smartphone screen.

The 'Galaxy Quantum 5' display is 6.6 inches, larger than its predecessor's 6.4 inches. The camera is a 50MP (50 million pixel) high-resolution wide-angle camera that not only takes clear pictures, but also supports the nightography (night low-light shooting) function that produces clear pictures with little noise even at night.

Additionally, the 'Galaxy Quantum 5' boasts a luxurious design along with strong durability by applying a side metal frame and back glass.

The Galaxy Quantum 5 will be released in three colors: Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Navy, and Awesome Lilac.

The 'Galaxy Quantum 5' is SKT's fifth quantum security phone and is equipped with a QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generator) chipset. It protects service apps with quantum security and encrypts authentication information and external memory data within the terminal using QRNG technology.

Also, just like the previous model, information stored in the terminal's external memory can be encrypted using QRNG, and a 'Quantum Indicator' notification function is also provided to confirm that quantum security services are being used in the status bar. The 'Quantum Indicator' notification function can be turned ON/OFF, and the QRNG function is always maintained as the system's default operation regardless of whether the notification function is turned ON/OFF.

SKT will provide all customers who purchase the 'Galaxy Quantum 5' from August 28 to September 3 with basic benefits including a genuine Samsung silicone case, a 2-month YouTube Premium subscription, a 6-month MS 365 Basic trial subscription, and a 60-day YES24 Crema Club Standard subscription.

Additionally, customers who purchase the 'Galaxy Quantum 5' by September 3rd can choose one benefit between 50,000 won worth of 11pay points and 50,000 won worth of CU benefits (T Universe Plus Subscription CU 6-month pass & 20,000 won worth of CU mobile gift certificate).
