Compliance certification completed with Galaxy Ring SM-Q503 model name
EP-QQ503 product is also expected to be registered as a charging case
Samsung Electronics, “Advanced Growth of Digital Health Ecosystem”
The Galaxy Ring, developed by Samsung Electronics and scheduled to be released, received conformity certification in the conformity assessment of broadcasting and communication equipment on the 28th.
Conformity certification is a conformity assessment that requires certification through testing on conformity assessment criteria by a designated testing agency for equipment that may cause harm to the radio environment and broadcasting and communication networks, or equipment that may cause significant electromagnetic interference or be affected by electromagnetic waves to the extent that normal operation is interrupted.
Samsung Electronics received conformity certification with the model number SM-Q503 and derivative model names ranging from SM-Q500 to 9, which matches the leaked Galaxy Ring model name.
In addition, on the 22nd, Samsung Electronics announced that it had received conformity registration in the new conformity assessment status under the model name EP-QQ503 for the equipment name 'Cradle'. The derivative model name is EP-QQ500~9, and it is expected to be a charging cradle for the Galaxy Ring as it has the same layout as the previous Galaxy Ring model name.
Chargers and electric chargers for mobile phones are products that undergo conformity registration rather than conformity certification. Products EP-QQ500~9 are chargers for the Galaxy Ring. Judging from the fact that the name cradle was used in the charging case for the Galaxy Buds, it seems that a case-type charger product will also be released for the Galaxy Ring product.
It is reported that the Galaxy Ring will provide digital health management services to consumers with functions such as healthcare and sleep patterns.
Samsung Electronics held 'Samsung Health Partner Day' at the Gravity Seoul Pangyo Hotel in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 28th to promote digital healthcare leadership.
On this day, Samsung Electronics shared its vision for digital healthcare with partners and discussed ways to cooperate to expand the ecosystem of its healthcare platform, Samsung Health. To this end, it emphasized that it would strengthen open collaboration and create a digital healthcare ecosystem that enables comprehensive healthcare management.
'Samsung Health' supports users' healthy lives under the vision of 'Connected Care' that connects mobile products, services, and people, including sleep, exercise, diet, and mental health.
In addition, the 'Galaxy Ring', which was first exhibited at 'MWC 2024' in February of this year, was displayed at the event, emphasizing cooperation with partners. Samsung announced that the Galaxy Ring product will be released in the second half of this year.
“Samsung Health Partner Day was created to strengthen collaboration with industry leaders and discover more opportunities,” said Park Heon-soo, team leader of the digital health team at Samsung Electronics’ MX business division. “The combination of Samsung Electronics’ innovative technology and our partners’ expertise will help the digital health ecosystem grow and advance.”
