Introduction to core AI technologies such as AI data centers
Providing UAM Net Zero Journey Experience
SKT to showcase its AI technology capabilities at CES 2024.
SKT announced that it will introduce SK Group's Net Zero and ICT family companies' AI technology to the world at CES 2024, the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition, to be held in Las Vegas, USA from January 9 to 12 next year (local time).
SKT will operate a joint exhibition hall with SK member companies including SK Corporation, SK Innovation, SK Hynix, SK E&S, SK Ecoplant, and SKC, measuring approximately 1,850㎡ (approximately 560 pyeong) in the Central Hall of the CES 2024 venue (Las Vegas Convention Center) under the theme of ‘Inspire Happiness.’ In addition, a 160-pyeong 'SK ICT Family Demo Room' will be separately introduced to introduce various AI technologies of SKT and SK Hynix.
■ Experience the ‘Wonderland’ Net Zero Journey on UAM SK Group's CES 2024 exhibition hall will present a 'net zero' world where the climate crisis has disappeared under the theme park concept of 'Wonderland.'
SKT will exhibit the following technologies: △Urban Air Mobility (UAM), △AI semiconductor 'SAPEON', △AI-based indoor/outdoor floating population and network analysis system 'Litmus Plus', and △Renewable energy virtual power plant (Virtual Power Plant).
In particular, SKT provides an experience where visitors can experience the future transportation system by riding a UAM aircraft designed like a magic carpet. It explains that by analyzing sensor data such as cameras and radars installed on the aircraft, risk factors can be eliminated during the flight and safe operation is possible. SKT aims to commercialize UAM in 2025.
Additionally, visitors can experience the performance of Sapion's AI semiconductor X330, which is power efficient and has fast processing speed.
■ SKT operates a separate demo room for its core AI technology
SKT will operate a separate 'SK ICT Family Demo Room' in the Hospitality Zone located on the north side of the Central Hall at the CES event venue, where it will introduce various AI technology leadership together with SK Hynix.
The demo room will showcase SKT's core AI technologies, including △'Litmus Plus', an AI-based indoor/outdoor floating population and network data analysis system, △'X Caliber', an AI diagnostic assistance service for companion animals, and △'AI Quantum Camera', which is applied to various fields such as robots, security, media, and medicine.
Additionally, a total of 10 AI services and technologies will be introduced, including Sapion's latest AI semiconductor 'X330' and SK Hynix's semiconductor technology. In particular, SK Broadband's AI-based data center infrastructure management (DCIM) know-how, including the liquid immersion cooling technology that SKT successfully verified last November, will be revealed.
You can also experience the 'AI Media Studio', a media processing and content quality improvement platform that uses AI to convert old videos to high quality (upscaling), separate audio sources without voice loss and remove noise, and create/translate/synchronize subtitles.
SKT’s Park Gyu-hyun, Vice President and Head of Digital Communications, said, “We are delighted to be able to introduce SK ICT Family’s various AI and eco-friendly technologies to the world through this CES,” and “In particular, we will actively promote SKT’s AI technology capabilities as it leaps forward as a global AI company.”
Meanwhile, CES 2024 is expected to be a place to see technologies that find breakthroughs in current issues regardless of industry or field, under the theme of 'ALL TOGETHER. ALL ON'. In 2024, it is expected that approximately 4,000 companies will participate and 130,000 visitors will visit.
