LG introduces AI-based home life and mobility space
AI covers everyday life from work environments to hobby spaces
LG Electronics announced on the 6th that it will present a daily life that connects and expands customers' empathic intelligence (AI) experiences to various spaces at CES2025, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition that begins on the 7th (local time).
LG's AI vision and innovation to provide more differentiated experiences by empathizing with customers will be realized in the 2,044-square-meter exhibition hall under the theme of 'Life's Good 24/7 with Affectionate Intelligence.'
At the entrance to the exhibition hall, a large kinetic LED sculpture measuring 10.4m wide and 5.2m high is installed, made up of approximately 700 LED signage pieces, and in the main space, the lives of customers changing through empathic intelligence in various spaces such as homes, offices, hobby spaces, and vehicles are depicted.

■ AI Home Lifestyle Presentation LG announced that it will introduce an AI Home Zone based on AI technology. Various AI home hubs, such as 'LG ThinQ ON' equipped with generative AI and concept products based on on-device AI, detect customers' words, actions, and surrounding environment with sensors installed throughout the home and control connected IoT devices to optimal conditions.
AI Home can analyze the customer's heart rate, breathing, coughing, etc. to suggest hot water to a customer who usually drinks cold water, or automatically adjust the temperature and humidity in the home. Data collected with the customer's consent is protected by the security system, 'LG Shield'.
At this year's CES2025, LG's new Signature products will also be unveiled. The 'Smart InstaView Refrigerator' has upgraded InstaView technology that allows you to check the type and amount of food being stored without opening the door by applying a transparent OLED display. The internal camera automatically recognizes food, and users can also check the location and list of stored food using the LG ThinQ app.

LG Electronics defines mobility as a space that expands and differentiates customer experiences beyond a means of transportation, and has prepared various future mobility technologies based on AI.
At this exhibition, you can experience the 'in-cabin sensing (detection of driver and vehicle interior space)' solution using a virtual driving simulation by riding in a vision AI-based concept vehicle installed in the exhibition hall.
This solution uses vision AI technology that quickly and accurately recognizes surrounding objects, people, and signals, as well as in-vehicle information collected by cameras and sensors, allowing AI to translate foreign language traffic signs in real time while driving. It also helps prevent traffic accidents by detecting drowsiness, measuring heart rate in real time, and recognizing seatbelt use based on the driver's gaze and facial expressions.
Using 'LG ThinQ On', it monitors the in-car environment in real time, converses with passengers, and intelligently supports things such as schedule management, weather, and traffic information, as well as food ordering, laundry, and restaurant reservations.

■ From AI-based work to creating a hobby space LG Electronics has created a space where people can freely experience innovative IT devices such as the ultra-light AI PC 'LG Gram', 'LG MyView Smart Monitor', and the electronic whiteboard (LG CreateBoard) used for video conferencing.
We introduce various solutions that increase work efficiency, such as summarizing documents you are working on based on secure on-device AI, searching for keywords in images, and chatbots that find customized results by considering usage history.
Additionally, LG Electronics created a gaming zone that provides a customized environment for users by utilizing the AI home hub 'LG ThinQ On'. While viewers enjoy games on a bendable OLED gaming monitor that can freely bend and unfold the screen to suit their viewing environment, ThinQ On automatically lowers the surrounding blinds, controls lighting and sound, and adjusts the indoor humidity according to the surrounding conditions.
Also featured in the exhibition hall will be LG DOOH Ads, a B2B signage advertising solution that uses AI to analyze customer data and display customized advertisements in retail stores.
