Display Material Merck IP Position Confirmed, Continued Investment in Korea Completed
Merck, a global leader in innovation and technology, has won a lawsuit against a Chinese company that infringed its intellectual property rights for display materials, recognizing Merck's strong IP position in the liquid crystal display field as well as its technological prowess in the display materials field.
Merck announced on the 6th that the Düsseldorf Regional Court recently ruled in favor of Merck in a case involving intellectual property infringement by Beijing Bayi Space LCD Technology Co., Ltd.
The court's decision concerns liquid crystal mixtures featuring certain ingredients and prohibits the sale of products containing infringing liquid crystal mixtures in Germany.
This ruling confirms Merck's strong IP (intellectual property) position in the liquid crystal field.
