Altera's Next-Generation High-Performance Low-Power FPGA and SoC Arria 10
In this webinar, Altera will explain the architecture and features of the Arria 10 Device, the industry's first 20nm FPGA and SoC. Based on TSMC's 20nm process technology, the Arria 10 FPGA and SoC deliver 15 percent performance gains compared to current High-End FPGAs, while simultaneously providing up to 40 percent power savings compared to previous Mid-Range devices, effectively revolutionizing the Mid-Range FPGA and SoC product portfolio. Customers can develop systems based on Arria 10 FPGA and SoC immediately with the proven Quartus II design environment, achieving the fastest compilation times in the industry. The Arria 10 FPGA and SoC include up to 1.15M Logic Elements and 64Mbits of embedded memory, DSP Blocks with over 3300 18x19 multiplexers, hard IP embedded in the FPGA, and an embedded processor system featuring a 1.5GHz dual-core ARM® Cortex™-A9, providing system integration twice as high as competing mid-range devices. Additionally, the Arria 10 FPGA and SoC feature 28Gbps Transceivers offering four times greater bandwidth than the current generation, as well as PCIe Gen3 8Lane (x8), 2666 Mbps DDR4, and support for hybrid memory up to 15Gbps, delivering three times higher system performance. From a power perspective, the Arria 10 FPGA and SoC are optimized through Altera's Enpirion, an industry-leading power integration product featuring high efficiency, small footprint, and low-noise performance. The Arria 10 FPGA and SoC are optimized for systems requiring high-performance functionality while facing cost and power constraints. These mid-range devices provide capabilities tailored to meet requirements across diverse end markets including telecommunications, broadcast, computing, and storage.
