Using a Motor Drive Module Operating in an Embedded Environment
In this webinar, following our previous sessions on smart power and sensors, we would like to discuss intelligent motor control modules.
Various functions are required for intelligent robots, and reliable motor control is essential to implement intelligent robotics. Typically, there are two types: DC motors and stepping motors.
DC motors are used for wheel control such as movement of intelligent robots, while stepping motors are frequently used for implementing joint movements.
The module introduced this time integrates DC motors and stepping motors on a single board, and uses a Cortex M series MCU as the control IC.
We provide a detailed introduction on PWM control for controlling DC motors and stepping motors, and how to implement and utilize it.
