In this lecture, following the previous lecture on passive components, we have prepared content on active components.
What is the greatest purpose of hardware circuit design?
It is to design the IC and peripheral circuits well and implement the desired operation. And prior to this, understanding of fundamental components is essential.
First, design begins by utilizing the reference circuit provided by the IC manufacturer. Since the manufacturer provides designers with verified ICs, this is useful for us who cannot understand the IC internals. Second, once an IC is provided, considerable time must be invested in peripheral design.
However, currently it is important for us to minimize the time required to bring products to mass production.

The diodes, BJTs, and MOSFETs to be covered in this webinar are representative active components necessary for hardware circuit design. And we will study the switching characteristics, which are the key characteristics of the presented active components.
We will also address important considerations in actual practice. In reality, it is important to consider not only the physical properties of the device, but also its practical characteristics and applicability. Additionally, we will provide direction in understanding the role of peripheral circuits in actual circuit design.
