Understanding Vehicle Body Networks in the SDV Era: 10BASE-T1S and TRAVEO™ Body MCU
Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) is a trend that continuously expands functionality through OTA updates and accelerates next-generation platform development by leveraging vehicle data. This transformation enhances user experience while helping OEMs efficiently manage increasing software complexity.
One of the key aspects of SDV transformation is the evolution of vehicle electrical/electronic (E/E) architecture. As it evolves from a domain-based structure to a zone-based and centralized architecture, the backbone is advanced with Ethernet, and the edge domain requires a cost-effective method to connect multiple low-speed nodes including sensors, actuators, lighting, and HMI. In this context, 10BASE-T1S multidrop, which can connect multiple nodes with simple wiring, is gaining attention.
This webinar organizes SDV from a semiconductor perspective and explains key concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, from gateway architecture linking with the upper backbone to 10BASE-T1S-based edge node configuration. Additionally, we introduce Infineon's TRAVEO™ Body MCU (low-power, scalable) portfolio and 10BASE-T1S-compatible products applicable to body/comfort areas such as doors, seats, windows, mirrors, and trunks, as well as lighting/HMI and sensor clusters. We also cover rapid PoC methods from PHY to protocol to application using an evaluation kit (TRAVEO T2G B-H + SDL) for initial verification.
We look forward to your interest and participation.
