The Korea Automobile Research Institute (President Jin Jong-wook) has rolled up its sleeves to train personnel to advance AI convergence and eco-friendly mobility technology.
On the 23rd, Hanjayeon signed a 'Business Agreement for AI Convergence and Eco-friendly Mobility Industry Human Resources Development and Domestic and International Joint Research' with Gyeonggi Science and Technology University (President Heo Nam-yong) located in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do.
On this day, the MOU signing was attended by about 20 key officials from both institutions, including Hanjayeon Director Jin Jong-wook, Gyeonggi Science and Technology University President Heo Nam-yong, Hanjayeon Vice President for Management Lim Gwang-hoon, Vice President for Research Kim Hyeon-cheol, Gyeonggi Science and Technology University Industry-Academic Cooperation Group Director Lee Seung-ho, and Dean of Academic Affairs Ahn Jae-woo.
Through this MOU, the two organizations plan to establish an efficient and systematic cooperation system for training professional human resources and continue cooperation, including domestic and international joint research.
Specifically, they plan to cooperate in the following areas: △ training human resources in the core technology fields of AI convergence and eco-friendly mobility, △ domestic and international joint research for the development of AI convergence and eco-friendly mobility technologies, △ cooperation in fostering talent for foreign students in the automobile field and supporting domestic employment, △ information exchange and provision of human and material resources for the development of the advanced automobile industry.
Hanjaeyeon and Gyeonggi Science and Technology University expect that securing core technologies and fostering excellent human resources in the mobility industry will be further activated based on the human and material infrastructure of both institutions.
Jin Jong-wook, president of Hanjayeon, said, “AI convergence and eco-friendly technologies are promising, super-gap technologies that are leading the change in the mobility industry.” He added, “Through this academic-research cooperation, we will continue active exchanges to foster specialized personnel and promote joint research encompassing both domestic and overseas, so that we can create an industrial ecosystem and secure core technologies.”
