SK Hynix has prepared a place where key executives, including President Joo-sun Kim, can directly share their future vision and technological leadership to secure excellent talents with master's and doctoral degrees.
SK Hynix announced on the 12th that it will hold 'Tech Day 2024' from the 20th to September 10th at five domestic engineering colleges to secure excellent semiconductor talent.
Tech Day is an annual recruitment event held by SK Hynix for domestic master's and doctoral students in semiconductor-related fields, where the company's key executives visit schools in person to share the company's vision and technological leadership with future talents and discuss the latest technological trends.
SK Hynix explained, “As the company’s status rises as a global leader in AI memory and our member-centered corporate culture is gaining popularity among the younger generation, there is growing interest in the company from excellent domestic talents.” It added, “This year, we have decided to expand our contact points with talents in the semiconductor field by having key executives, even presidents, step forward and communicate directly with students.”
At this event, SK Hynix executives, including President Kim Joo-sun (in charge of AI Infra), Vice President Kim Jong-hwan (in charge of DRAM development), Vice President Cha Seon-yong (in charge of Future Technology Research Institute), Vice President Choi Woo-jin (in charge of P&T), and Vice President Song Chang-rok (in charge of CIS development), took turns attending as main speakers for each school and delivered keynote speeches. The company plans to hold small-scale technical seminars hosted by current team leaders after the event. It is expected that this will contribute to providing current students with the latest technical insights and human networks necessary to grow into future semiconductor talents.
SK Hynix plans to build key infrastructure facilities such as the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, Cheongju M15X, and Indiana Advanced Packaging production and R&D facilities in the U.S. to continue its leadership in the future AI memory market, and thus plans to strengthen talent recruitment to ensure that excellent semiconductor personnel can be deployed in a timely manner.
SK Hynix Vice President Shin Sang-kyu (in charge of corporate culture) said, “Since the semiconductor industry is a field where cutting-edge technologies are concentrated, securing excellent talent directly leads to technological competitiveness,” and “As a leading AI infrastructure company, SK Hynix will actively recruit talent to solidify its global first-class competitiveness and technological leadership.”
