Providing a generative AI platform for enterprises

As the generative AI boom takes hold, global companies are rapidly implementing generative AI into their workflows and products. Accordingly, generative AI solutions for enterprises are expected to gain traction in the market.

Intel announced today that it has established Articul8 AI (Articul8), an independent company that will provide a secure, full-stack generative AI (GenAI) software platform optimized for enterprise customers, together with global investment firm DigitalBridge Group.

Articule8's platform reportedly offers AI capabilities that provide customer data learning and inference within the enterprise security perimeter. You can choose between cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployments.

Articule8 was founded based on Intel’s intellectual property (IP) and technology, and the two companies will work together to strategically explore future market entry opportunities and introduce generative AI within the enterprise.

Arun Subramaniyan, former vice president and general manager of Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, has been named Articule8’s first CEO.

“Articule8’s deep expertise in AI and HPC, as well as their proven track record of deploying generative AI for the enterprise, is well-positioned to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel and our vast ecosystem of customers and partners,” said Pat Gelsinger, Intel CEO. “We look forward to our continued collaboration with Articule8 as Intel looks to accelerate AI Everywhere.”

DigitalBridge Ventures, a venture initiative of DigitalBridge, participated as the lead investor in Articule8. It was also reported that famous venture capital firms including Intel, Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, Giant Trip Capital, GS Futures, and Jain Group participated.

“Global enterprises today are challenged to integrate generative AI into their workflows,” said Marc Ganzi, CEO of DigitalBridge. “Articule8’s generative AI software platform will be a central pillar to accelerate digital infrastructure, and DigitalBridge is excited to work with Intel to support Articule8’s growth.”

Articule8’s turnkey generative AI software platform is optimized for Intel hardware architectures, including Intel Xeon Scalable processors and Intel Gaudi accelerators, but will support a variety of hybrid infrastructures in the future.

We have previously deployed the platform to the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and are currently expanding the platform to target corporate clients in industries that require high security and specialized knowledge, such as financial services, aerospace, semiconductors, and telecommunications.

“Generative AI is playing a critical role in helping clients shape their business strategy and understand their needs,” said Rich Lesser, BCG Global Chairman. “About two years before Articule8 was founded, we had formed strategic partnerships and deployed Articule8 products to a number of clients looking for a production-ready platform with a rapid time-to-market strategy.”
