CES Innovation Award for Industry-First Surface Light Source Technology
LG Innotek (CEO Moon Hyuk-soo) stands tall on the global stage with its unique automotive lighting innovation technology.
LG Innotek (CEO Moon Hyuk-soo) announced that its vehicle lighting module 'Nexlide A+' won the 'CES 2025 Innovation Award' at CES 2025.
'Nexlide A+' is attracting attention as the first in the industry to apply surface light source technology to a vehicle's front lighting module.
A surface light source is a light source that emits light evenly across the entire surface, and LG Innotek holds over 700 patents for this technology.
While modules that utilize existing point light sources require separate parts such as light guides, which increases their size, 'Nexlide A+' emits bright, even light without separate parts and is 40% thinner.
Additionally, heat dissipation performance has been improved, and brightness has also increased fivefold.
“LG Innotek is strengthening its position in the global market as a ‘total solution provider’ for future mobility components,” said CEO Moon Hyuk-soo. “We will grow vehicle lighting modules into a unit business by 2030 by leading the way with innovative products that provide differentiated customer value.”
LG Innotek will showcase various vehicles including the 'Nexlide A+' at CES 2025 in January next year.It plans to showcase lighting modules and sensing components for autonomous driving.
