| ICT-Culture Convergence Content Business Competition, About 4 Projects Selected


The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency announced on the 12th that they plan to expand support for technology and culture convergence companies and content centered around the ICT-Culture Convergence Center located in Pangyo 2nd Techno Valley.

The ICT-Culture Convergence Center was established in April 2018 within Pangyo 2nd Techno Valley to support the convergence between information and communication technology (ICT) and technology and industry, including culture and arts.

The Ministry of Science and ICT is expanding the corporate space within the ICT-Culture Convergence Center and recruiting a total of 10 startups related to ICT-Culture Convergence content, including prospective entrepreneurs and startups that have been established for less than 7 years, for 30 days starting on the 22nd.

Through this recruitment, we plan to expand our role to support the startup of a total of 33 companies, while strengthening customized capacity support for each company through specialized agencies such as legal, accounting, and management consulting.

The Ministry of Science and ICT will also provide a total of 1.2 billion won in support for the production of convergence content that applies realistic content such as VR, AR, 3D, and holograms.

'ICT-Culture Convergence Content Production Support Project' to be held on the 12th; We plan to select approximately 4 projects through a public contest, and focus on selecting and supporting projects with high potential for securing demand and commercialization so that the results can be used in practice and become representative cases of ICT convergence.

The ICT-Culture Convergence Center's infrastructure, including video studios, sound studios, performance halls, and cutting-edge equipment, will be provided to the general public and content production companies.

Individuals, groups, and companies that will use the studio and equipment will be selected through a public contest for the ICT-Culture Convergence Center content production infrastructure pilot project, and the selected individuals and companies will be provided with the necessary facilities and equipment free of charge for up to six months to produce content.

In addition, various technology/industry convergence talent training programs and an 'Open Lab' for content development of new ideas will be operated throughout the year at the ICT-Culture Convergence Center.
