Cognex announced on the 11th that it is launching the DataMan 370 series of fixed-mount barcode readers that provide fast recognition speeds with advanced lighting features and improved processing performance.

The DataMan 370 boasts twice the computing power of conventional barcode readers, enabling faster barcode reading and increased overall production efficiency. It provides fast recognition speed even in environments where multiple codes or different types of barcode symbols must be read simultaneously.

Cognex's latest code reading algorithms easily decode 1D and 2D barcodes even in challenging real-world conditions such as poor print quality, low resolution, or out-of-focus conditions.

This decoding algorithm is combined with High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology, which adjusts contrast to expand the brightness range to closely resemble what the human eye actually sees, providing deeper reading depth and easier low-resolution code reading performance.

The DataMan 370's newly integrated high-power lighting feature combines advanced autofocus technology with a distance sensor to ensure you always get the best possible image.

The DataMan 370, featuring a modular design, shares the same lighting and lens options as the existing DataMan 360 and DataMan 470 series, allowing for easy upgrades. Its on-site installation is simple, and its intuitive user interface and real-time process performance feedback enhance user convenience.
