Mohenic has established a foothold for entering the domestic electric vehicle modification market by applying its light-duty electric platform to light-duty commercial vans and trucks.
The 0.5-ton electric commercial vehicle platform was developed to replace the Rabo and Damas market, which will be discontinued in 2020. It is planned to be released as an electric modification vehicle equipped with an electric drive system and has secured performance capable of driving over 120 km on a single charge and reaching a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
Mohenic plans to first apply the platform to electric modification vehicles using Rabo and Damas, which have relatively easy market entry, but plans to subsequently launch the platform in light-duty truck and commercial van models as well.
To this end, Mohenic provides the platform in B2B format to enable small and medium-sized enterprises to develop light-duty trucks and commercial vans.
Additionally, the company will equip a 30kW-class motor employing rare-earth-free permanent magnets, which are being developed for the first time in Korea, and use 100% domestically-sourced components to meet the reliability and quality standards required by the market.

Considering the vehicle's position as a light-duty commercial vehicle, the company has secured price competitiveness through cost-down design from the early development stage. Targeting enthusiasts who enjoy mini-camping, Mohenic also plans to introduce multi-purpose light-duty electric modification vehicles including a camping car version and smart commercial van version that reflect user needs.
Mohenic is a company that produces custom-made and electric vehicles and is conducting research and development on electric vehicle operating system mOS, IT, and big data through its ICT EV platform business.
