Johnson Controls announced on the 27th that it will showcase its latest HVACR solution portfolio at the '2020 AHR Expo,' the largest HVAC exhibition in North America, held in Orlando, Florida, from February 3 to February 5 next year.

The results of the 2019 Energy Efficiency Indicator (EEI) survey and key industry trends can also be found at the AHR Expo. The presentation will be given by Clay Nesler, Vice President of Global Energy and Sustainability at Johnson Controls.

The annual EEI survey conducted by Johnson Controls examines investment status and plans, key drivers, and structural barriers related to improving building energy efficiency.

The new technologies that Johnson Controls will showcase at the 2020 AHR Expo are as follows.

The new commercial rooftop unit 'YORK Sun Choice', with a capacity of 15-27.5 tons, is up to 25% larger than the component load standards set by the U.S. Department of Energy in 2018 and 10% larger than the standards set for 2023. It is also characterized by being designed to be up to 33% lighter than existing Johnson Controls models and up to 22% lighter than competing products.

Metasys Release 10.1, the latest version of the Metasys Building Automation System (BAS), enhances system performance and cybersecurity through the Cyber Health Dashboard, which won the 2019 Vision Award, and a new family of network engines. In addition, new surveillance and equipment controller models, as well as fault detection and fault auditing capabilities, can be explored at the 2020 AHR Expo.

The Johnson Controls Building Automation team plans to showcase next-generation hardware required for Facility Explorer. This also includes the latest monitoring controllers, such as new Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) that include features that could be added through the recent acquisition of EasyIO.

New features of the 'YORK YZ Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller' will also be unveiled. The YZ, launched in early 2018, is a chiller that uses next-generation refrigerants with a very low Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Johnson Controls Enterprise Management is a state-of-the-art cloud-based platform that supports machine learning. Users can monitor and manage building operations data, space utilization, tenants, equipment, and systems from a single pane of glass. Integrated with a state-of-the-art Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) engine, predictive capabilities, and work command system favorites, it supports rapid and measurable tasks.

'Smart Connected Chillers' are smart connected chillers that advance maintenance from a preventive approach to one based on predictable conditions. They can run machine learning and support value-added analyses, such as vibration analysis, to detect equipment defects in advance. It also provides recommendations to help make wise decisions regarding equipment performance.
