Vertiv Launches Next-Generation IT Management Platform

Vertiv, a specialist in critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has launched a next-generation IT management platform that delivers fast, seamless, and secure remote management capabilities for IT assets.
On the 10th, Vertiv announced the launch of the Vertiv™ Avocent® ADX Ecosystem, a next-generation IT management platform that meets the continuously evolving requirements in the data center sector.
The Avocent ADX Ecosystem is a functional block of devices and software designed for today's more complex hybrid network architectures and to meet the needs of remote workers, with global availability across all regions in 2021.
The new Avocent ADX Ecosystem is built on Avocent technology that has earned customer trust over the years and Vertiv's thought leadership, designed for use in enterprise, edge, cloud, and colocation environments.
It supports a secure and robust remote work environment by enabling workers to rapidly and seamlessly access and control data required for advanced engineering and design, video editing, and other high-resolution streaming applications.
The Avocent ADX Ecosystem integrates the most comprehensive IT device management capabilities in the market with the fastest and feature-rich 4K KVM on a single device.
Angie McMillin, Vice President and General Manager overseeing Vertiv's IT Systems business, stated, "As applications leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, and other data-intensive technologies are rapidly expanding, data centers of all sizes are becoming increasingly complex. Moreover, IT platforms are increasingly being deployed outside the data center." She added, "IT management platforms must evolve to address these new challenges and become more secure, robust, and efficient for next-generation applications."

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems.
