Viewrun Technology Advances Autonomous Driving Solutions

Iljin Precision and Viewrun Technology are pursuing a project to build Korea's first eco-friendly autonomous cold chain trucks through collaboration.

Iljin Precision announced on the 19th that through this agreement, it will advance its special vehicle and ESS sectors through demonstration, while Viewrun Technology will advance its autonomous driving solutions.

Iljin Precision is a manufacturer of special purpose vehicles specializing in cold chains. In 2020, it succeeded in developing and commercializing the world's first cold chain electric cargo truck, the 'Iljin Engine-off Electric Refrigerated Truck,' and has sold over 1,800 eco-friendly cold chain electric cargo trucks to date. It has been selected as the vehicle eligible for the largest purchase subsidy for three consecutive years.

In addition, since launching the world's first cold chain electric cargo truck in 2020, Iljin Precision has released various models that allow consumers to make a wide selection by reflecting consumer feedback and adding defrosting, heating, and mobile warehouse functions in addition to refrigeration and freezing.

Viewrun Technology, which is pursuing a project to establish eco-friendly autonomous cold chain trucks in partnership with Iljin Precision, secured seed investment from Naver D2SF (D2 Startup Factory) in its early startup phase, and subsequently succeeded in raising 10 billion won in pre-A investment from Daesung Venture Capital, KDB Industrial Bank, and others. There is a bar.

In addition, it garnered significant attention for successfully achieving stable autonomous driving in the U.S. and Korea using only a single LiDAR sensor, and is currently actively conducting autonomous driving businesses both domestically and internationally.

The two companies plan to jointly pursue a project for the commercialization of eco-friendly cold chain autonomous driving by equipping eco-friendly cold chain electric cargo vehicles manufactured by Iljin Precision with Viewrun Technology's autonomous driving solution.

Viewrun Technology garnered global attention at CES 2023 by showcasing its eco-friendly cold chain truck autonomous driving solution, and based on its outstanding autonomous driving technology, it is preparing to obtain an autonomous driving license and conduct a demonstration in February.
