AMD Korea announced the launch of 'VK-GX222MB', a mini motherboard optimized for network-segregated PCs featuring AMD G-series APU, in partnership with ViaCo, a leading company in mini computing. Starting with this product launch, AMD Korea plans to actively enter the network-segregated PC market, which has recently emerged as the most significant topic in Korea's ICT sector.The newly launched motherboard product focuses on eco-friendly ICT technology trends and features the low-power G-series APU, which offers superior power efficiency among AMD processor products. The AMD G-series APU is an SOC product with integrated CPU and GPU, providing excellent graphics performance per watt and data transfer speed. Based on AMD HSA technology, it demonstrates outstanding heterogeneous computing performance. With excellent price-to-performance ratio, customers can achieve higher performance and efficiency with lower investment, which is another advantage of this product. Ultra-compact Product Development with 10.5cm X 10.5cm Specifications
Meanwhile, 'VK-GX222MB', being a motherboard equipped with an APU product designed in single SOC form, enables the construction of a compact form factor based on excellent space utilization. Following the recent trend of ultra-compact product development in the network-segregated PC market, it was developed with specifications of 10.5cm X 10.5cm. Modular design structures have been applied to various connectors to further reduce product size and meet diverse product requirements requested by customers.
In addition to this new motherboard, AMD Korea and ViaCo plan to jointly launch the 'NLDBS Series', network-segregated PCs incorporating ViaCo's proprietary stacker casing technology. Stacker casing refers to a technology that allows flexible adoption of internal module connection methods when applying multi-layer structure by connecting PCs and KVM units with separate cases, and socket-type connections between cases when applying connection structure. Through this technology, ViaCo can supply various types of network-segregated PCs as requested by customers and provide higher performance and value for money compared to other products, according to ViaCo's explanation.
Jeon Young-sam, Executive Vice President of AMD Korea's Embedded Business Division, stated, "AMD plans to focus on securing competitiveness in the network-segregated PC market starting with the domestic launch of this G-series APU." He added, "We also plan to actively expand the mini PC market by utilizing AMD G-series APU products and existing mini ITX systems based on A8-7600 APU."
The AMD G-series APU has been adopted in Samsung Electronics' latest all-in-one PC products launched this year, based on its outstanding performance and price competitiveness.

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers.
