Hanbon Pentech, a mobile pen solution specialist, exhibited a universal active capacitive pen at CES 2016. This product features a 1.2mm tip that supports various electronic devices including tablets, smartphones, and notebooks, and provides comfortable writing experience with 1024 levels of pen pressure.

Unlike Apple Pencil, which can only be used with iPad Pro, Pentech's universal pen is compatible with various touchscreens of different devices. Hanbon Pentech explained that instead of having different pens for each device, users can write or draw with a single pen on any electronic device equipped with a capacitive touchscreen.

Typical passive capacitive pens operate in the same manner as a finger. Regardless of how precisely designed, they have limitations due to thick tips, low resolution, and lack of pressure sensitivity.

Hanbon Pentech stated that Pentech's universal capacitive pen, completely differentiated from passive capacitive pens, provides 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, enabling users to write and draw on screen just like with a conventional pen. The company explained that users can select more precise positions with a tip of only 1.2mm, draw delicate lines, and control the screen more effectively.

Pentech's ERT and capacitive products, which focus on pen input solutions, support 2 to 100-inch touchscreens and have been widely adopted in education, medical, government office automation, banking, and other sectors. Pentech possesses 140 patents worldwide backed by strong research and development capabilities.
