Xilinx, Inc. today announced the availability of Virtex® UltraScale+™ FPGAs, the industry’s first high-end FinFET FPGAs built on TSMC’s 16FF+ process.

Xilinx is actively working with more than 100 customers on the UltraScale+ portfolio and design tools, with more than 60 of them already ordered devices and boards. With the addition of Virtex UltraScale+ devices to the Zynq® UltraScale+ MPSoCs and Kintex® UltraScale+ FPGAs, all three families in the Xilinx® 16nm portfolio are now available.

Virtex UltraScale+ devices build on the success of the Virtex UltraScale family, the industry’s only 20nm high-end FPGA. These new devices leverage industry-leading technologies such as 32G transceivers, PCIe® Gen 4 integrated cores, and UltraRAM on-chip memory technology to deliver the performance and integration required for next-generation data center, 400G and terabit wired communications, test and measurement, and aerospace and defense markets.

The Vertex UltraScale+ devices are available now. The UltraScale+ portfolio supports the Vivado® Design Suite 2015.4 release, which is in development at over 100 customers.
