NetApp Users Leverage Commvault's Enhanced, High-Performance Data Protection Solution
Enables Establishment of Improved Data Protection Strategy
Commvault announced today the launch of 'Commvault IntelliSnap for NetApp,' a solution that supports protection and recovery of data stored on NetApp storage. The newly launched 'IntelliSnap for NetApp' replaces NetApp SnapProtect®, a data protection solution that Commvault released in collaboration with NetApp in 2011. NetApp customers can now widely use Commvault's enhanced, high-performance data protection solution and also receive Commvault's global customer support services.
Commvault IntelliSnap for NetApp operates on NetApp storage infrastructure and enables complete application recovery while simplifying management of key business applications without complex scripts or manual operations by utilizing snapshot methodology. By integrating both fast-speed snapshot-based image capture and disk-to-disk replication encompassing traditional tape backup processes, it establishes an even more powerful data protection environment. Additionally, compliance data backup and recovery strategy can be established and operated at reasonable cost.
Based on the strengthened partnership between NetApp and Commvault, NetApp will sell Commvault's IntelliSnap for NetApp solution together with NetApp storage, enabling NetApp customers to strengthen their data protection by utilizing Commvault solutions.
Rick Scurfield, President of NetApp Asia-Pacific, stated, "Throughout Asia, many organizations are operating hybrid cloud infrastructure to efficiently leverage data. Secure and seamless data mobility and protection have now become essential functions that all data management solutions must possess." He added, "Through close collaboration with Commvault, NetApp can now provide integrated storage and data protection solutions as well as customer support services to enable our joint customers to reliably operate hybrid cloud architecture."

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers.
