Viewing '360-degree VR' Videos Possible Through Large-capacity Data

Now users can freely enjoy video content on tablets. LG U+ announced on the 16th the launch of video-optimized tablets, Samsung Electronics' 'Galaxy View' and 'Galaxy Tab E.'

Galaxy View and Galaxy Tab E allow subscription to various LTE pad rate plans depending on data usage ranging from 1GB to 15GB. Additionally, customers can utilize 'LTE Data Sharing 500MB,' which enables sharing mobile basic data with tablet devices. The LTE Data Sharing 500MB rate plan provides an additional 500MB of tablet data and can be enjoyed at an affordable price of 10,000 won per month (11,000 won including value-added tax) with a 24-month contract.

In conjunction with the launch of Galaxy View and Galaxy Tab E, LG U+ has redesigned 'LTE Video Portal' and 'U+ Flix Movie' to provide optimal viewing on large screens, and has given consideration so customers enjoying video content can watch without concerns about battery life. '360-degree VR' videos can also be viewed based on the wide screen and large-capacity capabilities.

The 'Galaxy View' features an 18.4-inch Full HD display screen and is an ideal tablet for customers in their 20s and 30s with strong interest in video content. It is equipped with a dedicated UI (user interface) for multimedia playback and provides high-quality audio through a total of two stereo speakers. Video playback is possible for up to 8 hours maximum, making it a purpose-built product for enjoying various multimedia content.

The Galaxy View comes in black only, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 699,600 won. Regardless of LTE rate plans or pad rate plans (excluding data sharing rate plans), the public subsidy is 100,000 won.

The 'Galaxy Tab E' launched alongside is a tablet optimized for video content, capable of up to 13 hours of video viewing and up to 11 hours of internet use through a 5,000mAh battery. With a light weight of 360g and a slim size of 8.9mm, it also offers high portability, and the built-in MS Office programs allow users to freely open and edit documents outside or while on the move.

The color is pearl white with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 297,000 won. Regardless of LTE rate plans or pad rate plans (excluding data sharing rate plans), a public subsidy of 161,000 won is provided.

LG U+ is running an event where customers who purchase the Galaxy Tab E receive a Tab E exclusive pouch and touch pen on a first-come, first-served basis, and Galaxy View customers also receive a wireless mouse and keyboard set as gifts on a first-come, first-served basis.
