IoT (Internet of Things) technology is ushering in an era of personalized skin care that can be easily performed at home.

LG Uplus, which is leading the domestic home IoT market with IoT service reaching 200,000 households, and Hanssem, a comprehensive home interior specialist, announced on the 17th that they are launching the LTE Magic Mirror, the first in the industry to use IoT (Internet of Things) technology to measure skin.

The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a business partnership in May of last year and have been preparing to launch products utilizing IoT technology. To ensure accurate information provided through the LTE Magic Mirror, the two companies have also secured the reliability of its measurement results through dermatologist inspections and clinical trials with approximately 200 participants.

The LTE Magic Mirror, which is being introduced this time, allows customers to measure their skin type while looking in the mirror, and the measurement results are displayed on the mirror. Based on your skin measurement results, you can receive recommendations for customized skin care methods and even appropriate beauty products that are right for your current condition.

How to use: When the customer sits on the vanity chair and touches the mirror, a special high-resolution camera built into the mirror takes a picture of the skin, and current skin information such as ▲pores ▲redness ▲wrinkles ▲skin texture ▲blemishes, etc. appears on the mirror screen.

Customers can learn about their individual skin conditions and overall results through measurement results, and content on personalized skincare and cosmetics is provided in the form of videos and magazines.

Various beauty contents are also provided. In addition to the latest makeup trends, you can also watch videos of various tips related to hair, body, and nails, and easily read columns on beauty information written by experts.

The LTE Magic Mirror is a product that has an 8-megapixel camera and an LTE-only terminal attached to a large optical mirror measuring 80cm wide and 50cm tall with optimized reflectivity and transmittance, and has LED lights built into the edges.

The LTE Magic Mirror can be used directly at six Hanssem Flagship Store showrooms nationwide (Bangbae, Nonhyeon, Jamsil, Mokdong, Bundang, and Busan Centum), and is sold at all Hanssem Flagship Stores and Hanssem Interior dealerships.

To use the LTE Magic Mirror, you must activate LTE at a Hanssem store upon purchase, and the corresponding communication costs will be supported by LG U+ for two years, allowing you to use it for free during that period without worrying about communication costs.

“We have launched the Hanssem Magic Mirror, the first in the industry to combine furniture and IoT technology,” said Hwang Chi-ok, managing director of Hanssem’s appliance business division. “We plan to continue to launch devices that contribute to the convenience of daily life, such as vacuum blenders and magic mirrors.”
